Technology
Technology is integrated into our curriculum and instruction as a tool to enhance the learning process. In an effort to equip our students with knowledge and skills to support future learning, teachers and students use technology as a tool within their curriculum to create projects, papers, presentations and help students to individualize their instruction. Increased connectivity supports additional research opportunities while a wide variety of application-based programs provide opportunities for individual skills development, alternative assessment, and continued practice opportunities.
Across our community, students have an opportunity to utilize an individual device. Kindergarten through 4th grade students use iPads, while 5th – 8th grade students are entrusted with a Chromebook. At all grade levels, students, teachers, and families partner to utilize applications, web-based learning platforms, word processing, and other digital tools to support learning both in the classroom and at home. Many resources are connected directly to core curriculum materials with supplemental resources added to enhance and extend instructional opportunities.
