It is with sadness that we share the passing of Fred Rydstrand, a former teacher at Blessed Trinity. Fred dedicated 37 years of his life to teaching, split between St. Peter’s and Blessed Trinity, before retiring in 2010. Every colleague and student who worked with him has a memorable “Mr. Rydstrand story.” Though he was known for his high expectations and sometimes stern demeanor, Fred instilled a strong sense of character and academic excellence – values his students and colleagues still hold today. On staff at Blessed Trinity we are blessed to have several former students, colleagues, and individuals who were fortunate to be both.
We invite prayers for Fred and his family during this time.

Saints of God, come to his aid.
Come meet Fred, Angels of the Lord.
Receive his soul and present him to God the Most High.
May Christ who called Fred, take him to Himself,
May Angels lead him to Abraham’s side
Give him rest, O Lord,
and may your light shine on him forever.
