Commitment to Service: Feeding the Hungry

Each student helps make sandwiches and packs lunch bags for needed meals.

Our biggest fundraiser of the year and a day with big impact on our community is our annual Serv-a-Thon. On this day, our entire student body, parents, faculty, alumni and parishioners and friends come together to complete service projects for our founding parishes, the Richfield community and beyond. These projects include picking up litter, cleaning, organizing and moving items for our parishes, bulletin stuffing and other manual labor. The most extraordinary part of the day is the massive assembly line that each participant has a hand in that this year created more than 500 bag lunches to be blessed and delivered to The Sandwich Man, Allan Law. These meals are then delivered throughout the night to those in need. Each includes a sandwich, carrots, packaged snacks from General Mills and a note from a Blessed Trinity student. This project fills the stomachs and hearts of those in need.

Each year Blessed Trinity works with General Mills to donate prepared snacks to include in the bag. The rest is supplied by our families and faculty. We are proud of our work on this day but we know we could make more bag lunches, helping more people.

A donation of $120 helps us create 100 bag lunches for those in need.
A donation of $600 helps us create 500 bag lunches for those in need.
A donation of $800 helps us create 1,000 bag lunches for those in need.
